some guy had them for sale on the crepe city facebook page, I'm not on facebook so found out in a roundabout way - messaged him through my girlfriends account but he was already waiting for someone else to come and collect them. they had been up less than a day

JD, I take it your talking about the ones Gary B was selling? If so, i was in negotiations for them but ended up getting out bid and they went for £300 which i couldnt quite justify. I have made a deal for the dasslers and ian browns though.

Luke, that's the ones - £300 would have been a bit much for me too. Was tempted by the dasslers but decided against it in the end. Congrats on getting them

Evil Bay... That makes my blood boil.
My wife sold some of her old designer sunglasses on my account all legit and a good price at £35 for all 4 pairs.
then this happened.
Return reason: It arrived damaged
Comments: Hi, I messaged the seller two days ago but had no response. It is possible she is away but I don t want too wait too long. I am attaching a copy of the message I sent her below.. I would be happy to settle for a small refund to enable me to replace the case for the Calvin Klein glasses, however if the seller prefers I will return all of them, kind regards, Jo Hi, Thank you for the glasses which arrived just now. I don t like to complain but the Calvin Klein glasses box was covered in some sort of sticky black stuff, not unlike the stuff I use on the kids shoes when they scuff the toes, and now my hands are covered in black stuff and there are marks on the other glasses boxes from it, mainly the light grey Dior one and my duvet cover also suffered a wee bit since I am ill right now and opened my parcel in bed. Other than this the glasses themselves are ok thanks but I am obviously a bit unhappy and wanted to inform you. kind regards, Jo
Knowing that ebay will side with her and not wanting to pay her return postage I replied
"This all sounds very strange, ill escillate the case at the earliest opportunity."
Then it all went a bit weird.

You must have felt how sticky that case was and got marks on your fingers when you handled it! Either you or someone else had obviously covered it with something to cover the scratches and damage on the case, so don't act all innocent here. I was trying to resolve this withour embarrassing you but look how far that got me. I guess manners and kindness mean nothing to some people! By the way you can't even spell escalate! I take great exception to your remark and I will ESCALATE the damn case myself. I will also report your unfortunate manner to ebay. My message was honest and polite which is more than I can say for you and your passive aggressive accusation! Just who do you think you are doubting my integrity! Seriously some people!!

I find it very, very strange that you would not be aware of the state of the case since you packed it! If you can tell me how a photo would show a horrible sticky mess of a black case then you can have one, that is not a problem, however I have decided to return them all since this whole thing has left a bad taste. All I was requesting was a small refund to cover the cost of a second hand case for the Calvim Klein frames! Which wasn't really much to ask in the circumstances. I don't like your attitude and I refuse to deal with you further. I called ebay and they have asked me to escalate the case as soon as possible and they will send me a recorded delivery returns label and when you receive them you will refund my money plus postage paid. She will probably stick the glasses up her arse before she posts them back. Paypal have already frozen the money in my account and the wife has spent the money i sent her for the sale.
