yeah, there's a sticker on the insole of the red/blue stripe. can't remember if the box indicates different, though

Just ran down and checked. The sticker on the insole actually says 1970s. So you're right - they aren't vin80s.

They're vin70s.

I've noticed quite a few of the new vins have the padded tongue, so I wonder if it's just the 'new style' or if they indeed are another type of vin, although everything else seems to be the same.

Pretty nice, wow, they are milking the 80s model for all it's worth. Hopefully they will come out with some nice color combos.

I picked a pair up this weekend for £45, not online tho', this was back in the real world And they are noticeably more padded than all my other vins. I'm undecided as to whether this is a good or bad thing at the mo, time will tell.
