Funny you should say that, the process is called anodizing and I'm looking into that even as we speak.
Should be able to do different colours. Extra costs involved naturally. Powder coating is another option available. Nice !

It's not a good photo but the first one is back from the casters.
I've mostly finished cleaning it up but it still needs a bit of work. I'm intending to solder it onto a piece of silver about 1.5 cm high and around 5 cms wide with large holes near the ends so that laces can be fed through. Here's the first one back from the casters.
It's worked out weigh  too heavy.Gonna try and slim the depth down by around half and bring the edges in a bit. This ones in silver and weighs an ounce. Gonna see if I can get a stamp made and bash 'em out as that'd be the cheapest option. 101 days of the Pure Beringed.com |
