Those Tates were fake (well, I think everyone knows that now) but the easiest way to tell (and you can see that in the pic) is that the leather on the upper looks very 'dull' (in lack of a better word) almost dusty and all fake Tates I've seen look like that. A legit pair looks more shiny.

Anyway, that's what I've always been looking for when spotting fake Tates, I just thought everyone knew.

Instead of lurking you could of signed up, got a few more opinion's and this may not of happened...

When I saw some of the best specialists giving their opinion, why should I ask anything else ? I know forums, here I am a newbie, no messages, if I added some more questions about this pair, as there were many opinions given it would have been useless to write. Anyway I see you two are not happy with it... maybe I should then fly away. I got frauded and first thing "Streak" did was to close this topic. Anyway thanks for the great help from many members on here, I did not say it was your fault at all I was just asking for some help as you are specialists of those kind of shoes.

nah mate.. didn't think you were stupid.. just thought maybe you should have made your intentions known and maybe mr.Pure or one of the others may have chipped in and prevented you buying them in the first place..
Anyway.. no beef fella, we're all friends here on the forum.

To be honest, first I have not bidded as I saw them rise a lot. Then, reading this thread and seeing that saying that the price went up because they were authentic... I felt that there was no problem. Then they made a come back on eBay I just offered something for them. All my other SS35 were bought from shops and a former member of this board. Btw I used to have another name on here and there was some database crash (a forum crash maybe) or something with my password/email and I changed it. That was way before the rule of 100 posts to sell, maybe beginning of last year

Anyway a refund is coming from what I understood... so let see what happens.
