Greets, chaps. Yankee n00b here! - LOGO - 06-01-10

Hey everyone. I'm a graphic designer, semi-retired EDM DJ, and adidas lover from the States.

Love the Trefoil; hate the Pyramid.
As a matter of fact, for my 35th birthday, my girlfriend made a bunch of Trefoil cookies from a set of cookie cutters I received as a free gift at the adidas Originals store in either NYC or San Diego...can't remember which.

Now, you guys are probably going to want to flame the piss outta me for saying this, but I'm not too into Shell Toes anymore. I used to wear them all the time back in my rave days, but I've given them up for other styles. I still have a pair of white & blacks, but they're old and a bit dirty, and just kinda hang out in the back of my closet. My prized sneaker possessions are a rare pair of adidas Originals Japans and a rare pair of adidas Originals ROM 60s. I also prefer the streamlined look of adiracers, and the Porsche Design stuff.

But what I really have a hard-on for are track tops. Can't get enough of them. Here's a list of what I have:

1 - adidas adicolor B4 TRON TT
1 - adidas adicolor Y3 Panini TT
1 - adidas skateboarding limited-edition FTC collaboration hoodie (FTC = For The City - a skate shop in San Francisco)
1 - adidas originals Trimm Trab TT; black w/red stripes & Trimm Trab graphic
1 - adidas originals Club TT; black w/white stripes & HUGE white Trefoil on the back with the word "CLUB" written across it
1 - adidas originals Gerd Müller Der Bomber TT; white w/black stripes
1 - adidas originals Firebird TT; slate-blue with brown stripes
1 - adidas originals TT that has "Thanksgiving" colors: brown, cream, yellow & orange
1 - adidas originals TT that is navy with red accents
1 - adidas originals Wales TT; green & white, and has the Welsh flag printed on the back
1 - adidas originals Ice Bomber winter TT; it's basically thick ribbed cotton (like a sweater) that's covered on the front and sleeves with puffy nylon.
1 - adidas originals VIP track suit; navy pants w/white striping with small "VIP" emblem at the waist, white jacket w/navy striping
1 - adidas originals 70s track suit; red w/white stripes. Think Royal Tenebaums. Wide collar, zippers that expand the forearms and ankles
1 pair - adidas originals Superstar track pants; black w/red striping
1 pair - adidas originals Superstar track pants; white w/black striping

Ironically, what led me to this site was my pursuit of track tops. See, I was recently poking around eBay and iOffer, and other somewhat dodgy Chinese websites, and found a bunch of sellers who were offering some seemingly staggering deals on adidas gear. After doing tons of research, I had suspicions that these items might be fakes, so I dug deeper into the world of adidas fakery.

And then I followed a link to a thread in the Fakes forum on this site.

After doing all this research, I was floored by how good these fakes can look. Definitely had me fooled. But now I know that there are plenty of sweatshops out there cranking out very convincing adidas fakes, and I'll definitely be a lot more skeptical when it comes to "deals" that seem too good to be true.

So thanks for providing such crucial information about faked Superstars. This has really helped me be a more informed online shopper. Now, do any of you have any solid resources that deal with track top fakery? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.
