"Stan Smiths, Adicolor & Other Retro/LTD Edition Adidas
From Stan Smiths, to Forest Hills, and from Oregan Camo's to the new Adicolor series - this is the forum you need to discuss any retro/ltd trainers that do not contain a shell toe."

I see nothing here about where or where not to post.

And it"s "common sense" to know where? Not really. "Look what the postman.." thread. Well the postman didn't bring my kicks. Or, "Today I'll mostly be wearing" thread. I wasn't wearing them. "My Other Adidas" thread. Inactive. So no, not really common sense.

And the comment about not clogging up the forum. Why exactly should I care? Here's a thought. How about a separate thread for each shoe model posted in the important thread's section.. That seems like common sense if we need to be so anal about where we are posting.

Now to be gang flammed for asking a serious question and reiterating that question in the help section is a bit unexpected. Calling me a "Tool" as well....? Is this how you would behave in public face to face?

RE: Unwritten forum "rules" - Big J - 15-06-09

I don't think Samo was calling you a tool, more that acting like a tool wouldn't get you very far.

Not entirely sure what the first part of your post is about, but surely its common sense that, ok, maybe a postman didn't physically bring the trainers to your doorstep, it's obviously the thread for new purchases that you want to show off.

Everyone else seems to know how it works, which suggests that it is common sense. And the tone in which your posts in this thread have been written won't have helped either.

It's been so quiet of late as well...

RE: Unwritten forum "rules" - Samo - 15-06-09

Rolling Eyes Here we go...

When were you called a tool? And why go on the defensive when someone points out that you should have posted in a different thread rather than starting a new one?
"contractual agreement"? If you want to smart mouth mods and other long standing members, then your time here will be limited. And presently I am sure that will be no great loss on our part...

RE: Unwritten forum "rules" - kungfuyoazz - 15-06-09

"Everyone else seems to know how it works" 216 thread's total says otherwise. Hey, and I'm not trying to be picky. I could care less either way. Just don't jump on someone for being ignorant of "how it works." Now about my tone. I re-read it for your sake jk,and my tone is polite and ontopic, unlike the majority of posts within the tread.

How is my tone in this post?

Or are you guy's just trying to winding me up?

RE: Unwritten forum "rules" - Big J - 15-06-09

Of course there's gonna be queries, christ I've had them myself, but there isn't 216 threads asking obviously redundant questions.

I'm obviously not the only one who thought you came across, for the want of a better word, arsey, otherwise you wouldn't have got that lovely flowchart etc.

RE: Unwritten forum "rules" - Lorrie - 15-06-09

I will admit that when I first started with the SSDB I didn't think it made much sense to post shoes you'd just bought at the store to the 'postman brung me' thread, but since everyone else was doing I just followed suit.

Otherwise, it is more or less common sense. You post soops in the soop section, other adidas in the other section and non-adidas in that section. Every now and again someone posts in the wrong section and we all make noise about it and then it gets moved. But it happens to old and new alike.

We're not a bad lot, but there is a fair amount of what might be considered 'ill-natured' jabber back and forth and for the most part nothing is meant by it. I've personally offended a few new members and if called out on it have taken the time to PM them and apologize.

Hey, it's bad economic times. If someone's been 'snarky' to you on the board think about the recession.

RE: Unwritten forum "rules" - kungfuyoazz - 15-06-09

I didn't ask redundant questions. I posted pics of my Campus Evo's. Where I did ask a question was in this Help section. As in "Help me to understand." And was flammed for it.

Aresy. Like that word! Kind of like a combination arse and cheeky. I disagree of course. As I haven't made any personal attacks on anyone.

RE: Unwritten forum "rules" - Shellshock - 16-06-09

Kung-fu my arse, let it go man, I think it's just a slight misunderstanding, don't let this develop into a major international incident! Very Happy Our typically very dry/quite abrasive English sense of humour may seem a little confrontational and does take a little getting used to but on the whole we're a good bunch as long as you've got a thick skin and can take the odd flaming, deservedly or not sometimes. Be cool Cool
