RE: Looking for 35th Ann. Shoes
Cool.
Well, Can I assume you've been reading what people have had to say, then? You now know that the 35th anniversary stuff was out 3 years ago and consequently very difficult to find in stores.
The sites we've suggested are good because they sell legit shoes - no point in buying a 'deal' on the internet and have it turn out to be a fake.
I can almost guarantee you are not going to get Upper Playgrounds for your $150.00 budget. My suggestion would be to buy any of the pairs you listed in your poll (Boston, Londons, R5) and then as you get more money, acquire the rest of them.
My other suggestion, considering your age and that even if you have a part time job you probably don't make a ton of cash, would be to start collecting more basic pairs. a solid pair of superstar 1's, white with black stripes or black with white stripes, shouldn't run you more than $100 (they're not that hard to find on sale, too) and those will always be well respected by sneaker heads. Especially if you keep them clean (you have to keep them clean). You can build up a great collection for $100 or less a pair, especially if you make the odd trip down to Bellingham or Seattle or even Winners. And customize them with fat laces or lace jewelry.
If you let us know your size we can also keep a look out for bargains and keep you in the loop.
Thanks, im a 8.5/9 US

RE: Looking for 35th Ann. Shoes
May I disturb your discussion?
What about the info from PYS that 35th Anni Superstars are half size smaller than they should be - 10,5 35th = 10 Normal Superstar?
And where online should I look for:
35th Anni
London
Berlin - I heard hardest to get from cities series...
Boston
Size US 10 or 10,5 if PYS is right...

RE: Looking for 35th Ann. Shoes
yeah, i might be the minority here, but I don't understand that PYS sizing thing. UK sizes list half a size smaller than US sizes. So, a UK11.5 is a US12.
I don't find that the 35th series fit half a size smaller than 'regular' superstars. for me, a UK11.5/US12 fits the same whether 35th or not.
Now, in terms of finding these kicks? well, if you haven't, read the rest of this thread and go to the sites that are listed. After that it's just pure graft. Some people on this forum (myself especially) will visit certain sites more than once a day on the off chance a pair of something on the list turns up. When you're looking for something especially rare (eg Neighborhoods) sometimes you only have a few hours to get them before someone else does.
Then there's ebay. Lots of fakes and until you get the experience in spotting them (please read the guide on mr.shoe shotta's site), best to post pics from the ebay listing and get people's opinions.
Good luck!

Heh... I meant that size 10 US is what I am lookin' for, as they are a bit too big, they aren't too big they aren't too small for my feet. I've just tried 10 UK - 10,5 US and it's too big
