Never noticed that before.
I thought my Bad boys were fake cos the box is Pure white but it's got that mark on it.
They do look shit though on closed inspection.

MORE WAYS TO SPOT FAKES...

As robbed from CT! Wink

The box label - The is the first thing that can be distinguished between a real pair and a fake pair. Firstly, Adidas tried to be rather constant on the positioning of the box labels. And if any of you bothered to examine boxes (which I always do when I get a pair of new kicks back), you will notice that Adidas actually marked on the boxes for the workers to align the box label onto the boxes (not every single boxes, but definitely the normal blue boxes and the 35th series). Look at the bottom left of the box label, you will see a "L" marking on the box, which is black on the 35th series boxes and white on the normal blue boxes. The labels are rather accurately placed, and even if they are slightly off positioned, it won't be as off as the fake ones (went right off to the right). Fake ones do not have the "L" markings! Also check on the prints on the label, fake ones are rather rough, and the barcodes are pretty thick. (Differences are shown below)

The hang tags - Check out the ridge edges, real ones are surely cut out by machines, so hence the consistent shape and size of the ridge edges. The end of each edge is rather pointy as well. Whereas the fake ones are pretty inconsistent, the edges can be found rounded on the fake pics, shape and sizes are also inconsistent. Also check on the tie they used to attach the hang tags, tho as shown above, even the fake ones use identical ties. (Differences are shown below)

The texture of the leather - This is something not that easy to notice, unless you got a pic of the real ones, and even got the real ones in hand to compare. For example, on the FPs, the suede on the body and the leather on the stripes, comparing to the real ones, they are different. This is so minor, that it is rather hard to notice.

The gold stamping - This is another obvious check point. The real stamping is rather thick, and bold. Spacings on the word "adidas" is evenly spread. On the fake ones, the stamping is thin, and the spacing on the word "adidas" is odd.

Insoles - The fake ones do not have the red QC label sticker on the insole, which is normally stuck on the left insole. For specific model (NBHD), check on the directions of the words printed on the insoles. (Shown below)

Spare laces - Before, the way to check this, is the unique way on how Adidas packed those laced, by which means the way they folded the laces. Now, this method has been carefully followed, and so it is hard to tell. But on specific models (e.g. NBHD), wrong spare laces are provided. Real NBHDs should come with a spare set of all black laces and a set of white NBHD logo-ed black laces.

Difference between boxes

REAL ONES (notice the central positioning, and also the "L" marking)

FAKE ONES (Check out the positioning and the spacing between the hole and the label, also without the "L" marking)

Difference between insoles

REAL ONE

FAKE ONE

Difference between ties

REAL ONE (Check the ends of the tie)

FAKE ONE (One end of the tie is not flat)

Hopefully that'll be of some help to someone!

Wink

Just out of curiousity, what laces do the UNDFTD, D-Mops and Unions come with?

As far as I know these haven't been faked yet, but I guess it's all a matter time now...

Just an added note to my post with all the pics...

I've checked ALL my superstars & they all have the flat bit on the nylon tag strap (even my Crooked Tongues has it) so i would say if they don't have the flat bit as in the picture above, then they are most probably fake!

GET CHECKING THOSE TAGS!!!

The thing about the tags is only reliable for the 35th series.

Fake Neighbourhoods

Hi,

God this info is annoying. I wish i'd read it before shelling out £80 on some neighbourhoods.

Will mine def be fake if they have the writing inside the shoe both facing the same way? They look so real tho. The don't feel that bendy. Is this another sign? I have some IB's which i bought when they cam out and they are much bendier.

These bandits must be stopped.

Any help would be appreciated.
